Starting next month, HealthPartners will require multifactor authentication (MFA) to use your provider portal account. This two-step verification process adds an extra layer of security to help protect your account against unauthorized access.

How it works:

  • We’ll send you a verification code to enter each time you sign in.

  • You can choose to have verification codes sent via email, text message or both.

    • If both methods are enabled, you’ll be able to choose which one to use each time you sign in.

    • If only one method is enabled, we’ll automatically send the verification code that way.

  • You can change how you receive your codes at any time in “Manage My Account.”

To turn on Multi-factor authentication early, sign in and go to "Manage my account" and then "Multifactor authentication."
